Coaching quality varies massively within the sport of rowing and you can often leave a session more confused rather than having clarity on what you need to be doing to row better.
Cues like "relax", "rhythm", "hands away faster" and "straighten your back" all leave you feeling like you have no direction to actually improve your stroke.
After years of trial and error myself and having the incredible privilege of rowing with some of the best athletes in the world (Olympic gold and silver medalists Tom Ford and Jack Beaumont to name a few) I understand how good rowing actually feels, and having coached hundreds of athletes to improve and also work alongside some of the best strength and conditioning coaches in the world (Sika Strength) and achieve elite olympic lifting numbers myself (135kg snatch, 165kg clean and jerk and 250kg squat if you were interested), can apply this knowledge to you to get you on the right path with your training.
Rowing takes a huge amount of time and effort to get better at so- the fact you could be applying this effort in completely the wrong way and limiting your potential, the enjoyment if the sport, ability to get selected into better boats and win more races can be incredibly painful both as an athlete and watching so many athletes myself, knowing it can be done better.
